Former Premier League striker Troy Deeney believes Chelsea will miss out on the Premier League title if they don’t improve their defence and goalkeeping position.
“They should be looking to challenge for the title now but I still think the goalkeeper (Robert Sanchez) and the defenders are giving away easy goals,” Deeney told.
“They should have won 2-0 easily but ended up scoring three goals with poor finishing and I think that’s why they have to try and get into the top four now.”
“Unless they go out in January and sign a couple of players because the current defence they have is going to make them cry.”
Chelsea beat Leicester City 2-1 on Saturday to move into third place in the ยูฟ่าเบท table, level on points with Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion and just one point behind second-placed Manchester City.
